Troubleshooting

  • Make sure you are using the Dometic thermostat on the wall by the bathroom/U Dinnette for heat. The A/C above the camper will only run cold air or the fan. The furnace is what heats up the camper and runs of propane. Ensure your propane tanks have enough for the entire night before going to sleep.

  • The hot water tanks are only so large so you must conserve water when showering. We recommend getting yourself wet then turning off the water to lather up and turning the water back on to rinse. To also conserve hot water you can turn the hot water on slightly then turn the cold water to adjust the pressure will conserve more hot water for longer periods or time.

The other problem may be you need to turn on the water heater from inside the bathroom. There is a propane water heater switch and an electric water heater switch. If you are hooked up to a 30 amp full hookup you can simply turn on both the electric and gas switches for lots of hot water. It is still limited but should work. IF you are “Dry camping” or “Boondocking” with no electric hookups you will only use the propane water heater switch.

Last Resort if you still do not have hot water and you have tried the items above you can open this compartment behind the trailer. (Be Careful this might be very HOT if the switches on the bathroom are on and it is running). Do not touch this with your bear hands as it will burn. Using gloves you can wiggle the fuses or cable connections that might be loose or if there are cob webs you can clear those out. You lastly can pull the silver switch to relieve some pressure if needed. There will be some hot water that comes out so be careful with this as well.

  • A common trick is running the faucets. Just turn the faucets on in the kitchen and bathroom only slightly to allow a trickle of water to run throughout that night (if hooked up to city water). Moving water is more difficult to freeze than stationary water. You should also leave the gray tanks open to allow the water to drain throughout the night. DO NOT leave the black tanks open for any reason as this will allow smells to fill the camper. Only flush black tanks before departing medium to short trips. On long trips allow the tank to fill up as much as possible and dump as needed. Empty or semi empty tanks will not flush well.

  • We recommend flushing the tanks when they are getting full. The grey tanks will fill up much faster as this is water from the sinks and shower and the black tank is only toilet water. We ALWAYS recommend flushing the black tank first and then with a full (ish) grey tank flush that last to clear the pipes. You also have the option of using the black tank rinse before flushing the gray tank. Open the black tank and dump it, connect the orange hose to the Black tank flush and turn on the water. Once completed turn off the orange hose, close the black tank, and flush the grey tank.

  • Using the 3 Burner Stove Top
The use the stove the propane must be turned on in front of the trailer. You open the glass topper which should only be closed when the stove is cold. Find the knob with the burner you would like to light and turn it to the On position. Once on you can turn the Igniter knob all the way to the Left and rotate it to spark the plug. Do NOT leave the burner knob on long without igniting the spark as gas will built up inside the trailer. Keep turning the Igniter knob until you get a flame and then adjust the burner knob until you have the desired temperature setting. One you are done using the stove top let the stove have time to cool down before lowering the glass as the glass will break with extreme heat. Always turn the ignition knob clockwise Only.

    Using the Oven
To light to over you turn the oven knob to the ignite section. You can find the ignition through the reflection of the glass partially open or bend over to see there is a spark inside the oven. One you turn on the oven knob turn the ignition knob and keep turning it until you see a flame spark in the back of the oven. If you have not been running the propane long it may take a few turns of the ignition knob to light. Always turn the ignition knob clockwise Only. (this does NOT need to be adjusted after the light)

  • If the refrigerator is not working, ensure the button on top of the freezer is on the ON position. The 2nd button should be pressed as this automatically switches from electric to propane. If you are connected to electricity the refrigerator will run off the electricity and once you disconnect it will run on propane automatically. You should not have to touch the 2nd button. IF it is not working and you are not connected to electricity ensure the propane in the front of the rv is on and the tank is full. Always try to turn it off and turn it back on. It does take a few hours to get cold but the freezer will freeze.
