Benefits of Glamping/ Camping
After returning from vacation have you ever told yourself, “I need a vacation from my vacation.” One thing I noticed is personally after traveling to a big city, going to airports, restaurants, hotels, etc when I get back home I’m more tired than when I left. I noticed once we purchased our RV we have been able to return from vacations feeling rested and relaxed more. After doing some research I have come across some interesting articles and facts that show how camping/glamping can be a more relaxing vacation than traveling to a big city.
5 Scientific Reasons
1. Camping improves the quality of your life and recharges your batteries.
Compared to 59% of non-campers, 79% of campers feel satisfied with the quality of their life. They feel more balanced, optimistic, energized, and just… happier. Did you know that camping gives you the same kind of relaxed state of mind yoga will give you? Both activities lead to greater happiness!
2. Camping leaves you with lifelong, happy memories.
Going camping makes you feel closer to the people you’ve met. That’s because the emotional feelings campers experience around a campfire, on long hikes, while exploring or watching a sunset (or rise) leave you with better memories of the camping experience.
3. Campers have better health at all ages.
83% of +75 year-olds who like to camp reckon they feel especially active for their age. That’s compared to only 66% of non-campers of the same age. Even more surprisingly, is that only 49% of non-campers from the age of 26–40 feel healthy enough for their age compared to 73% of people who go camping often. Low vitamin D leads to depression or even chronic health problems. Vitamin D is provided by the sun. This in combination with the physical exercise from climbing a mountain, running around a lake, or gathering wood for a bonfire will increase your overall health. So stay healthy and go camping!
4. Campers feel like they can be themselves.
When you camp, there is no hierarchy. Everyone works together as a team to set up tents, prepare food and make a fire. Everybody is important. Basically, camping relieves you of the stress you may feel to be someone else — someone better — during your everyday life. 80% of campers feel like they can be themselves more while camping and 75% says it makes them leveler
5. Camping helps bring people together.
According to research, families who go camping have stronger bonds and are able to communicate better. Spending time with friends and family is what makes people happy in their lives. Of course, camping can play a huge part in that! It’s just you, your family, and nature after all. Campr even lets you make more new friends by connecting you with strangers who have at least one thing in common: their love for camping!
